TAMISH is the ultimate artist. As a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and speaker among many other talents, TAMISH uses her voice to empower others (especially women, people of color, millennials, and youth!).
A native of Chicago, Illinois, TAMISH has been performing her entire life in all areas of the arts, from singing, to dance, performance poetry, acting, choir directing and choreographing. From a young age, it was evident that her artistic talents contained something very special. A lover of a diverse collection of music and musicians, TAMISH came to learn that performing and creating music for herself and others, was something that needed to be a staple in her life.
After graduating from Syracuse University and tackling the fast-paced world of Advertising in NYC for a few years, TAMISH took the ultimate leap and decided to make her passion and purpose her full-time job.
In a few short years and with a lot of dedication, TAMISH has had the pleasure of performing her debut single, Met You on Good Day Chicago (FOX Morning News), opening up for several major artists, including: 11x Grammy award-winning artist, songwriter, and producer, Babyface, Kelly Price, Slick Rick and MC Lyte, providing backing vocals for Mariah Carey, Slick Rick, Charlie Wilson and T.I. on Showtime at the Apollo, Andra Day on BET’s Black Girls Rock, Diego Torres on Univision’s Copa de America Centenario Draw, touring in Europe, performing at various festivals and events across the US, singing the National Anthem for two televised sports games, and even ‘starring’ in a reality TV show pilot with Bevy Smith and BET focused on music.
TAMISH is happily living her passion in order to reach and change THE WORLD for the better, all the while inspiring others to do the same.
TAMISH released her debut single ‘Met You’, in May 2015, and her debut EP in October 2017. She describes her sound as “neo-vintage”, or modern throwback-inspired music, that you can FEEL. TAMISH’s goal is to provide a bit of diversity in the music industry, with lyrics and subject matter that empower women, speak to societal issues, and encourage you to live your life to the fullest.
